Terms of Use

Vivalid is in beta. Features can change or stop, the site can be unavailable, and data can be lost. Keep your own copies of receipts and photos.

Records are created by their owners. Vivalid is not a police database, a government register or a register of title. A record is not proof of ownership, and Vivalid doesn’t decide who owns anything.

Validated means someone on our team looked at a proof of purchase the owner uploaded, and it appeared to match the record. It doesn’t guarantee that the document is genuine, that the owner still owns the item, or that the item isn’t stolen.

• “Not on record” means nobody has registered that serial with us. It doesn’t mean the item isn’t stolen.
• A stolen or lost flag is the owner’s report, not ours. We don’t investigate thefts.
• Different manufacturers can use the same serial number. Check the brand and model too.
• Do your own checks before you buy. Don’t rely on Vivalid alone.
• If you think an item you’re offered is stolen, contact the police. Don’t confront the seller or whoever has the item.

Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.

By registering an item, uploading a document or raising a flag, you confirm that:

• you own the item, or have the right to register it;
• the documents you upload are genuine, and you’re allowed to share them;
• a stolen flag is true: the item was stolen from you. A false flag can harm whoever has the item now, and you are responsible for it.

Mark an item found as soon as it’s back.

If a record or flag is wrong, for example an item you own lawfully is flagged stolen, email vivalid.co@gmail.com with the serial number and what’s wrong.

We may hide, change or remove any record or flag, and suspend or close any account, at our discretion and without notice. We may share information with the police or a court when the law requires it.

You keep ownership of what you upload. You let us store it, and show an item’s details and photos publicly on its record for as long as the record exists. Proofs of purchase are seen only by you and our review team. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share.

Don’t scrape the site or look up serials in bulk, try to get around its limits or security, upload malware, or use Vivalid to harass anyone.

Vivalid is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that records are accurate or complete, that the site fits a particular purpose, or that it will be available without interruption.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vivalid is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on a record, search result or flag. That includes a purchase you make or don’t make, a sale that falls through, and lost data. Where liability can’t be excluded, it is limited to 100 NIS.

If someone makes a claim against Vivalid because of something you registered, uploaded or flagged, or because you broke these terms, you will cover our resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees.

• Account: your email, your name, and your password, stored only as a hash. One cookie keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
• Items: details and photos are public on the item’s record. Your name and email are not shown there. Proofs of purchase are seen only by you and our review team.
• Searches and tag scans: we log the serial, your browser type, and a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser. We don’t store IP addresses. Owners see when their item’s tag is scanned.
• Hosting: Render, with servers in Frankfurt (EU).
• We don’t sell your data. To see, correct or delete it, email vivalid.co@gmail.com.

We may change these terms. The new version is posted here with a new date. Using Vivalid after that means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction.
